A three-member Russian delegation comprising the deputy director Russian Asian Centre for University Services (RACUS), Ali Nutsalov, International Students Department St. Petersburg State Paediatric Medical Academy manager Natalia Makarchuk, and International Students Department Saratov State Medical University manager Ekaterina Polunina are visiting New Delhi to interview students seeking admission to Russian universities, The Hindu Times reports.

It reports some 110,000 foreign students from over 200 counties came to study at Russian universities last year. The Government of the Russian Federation sweetens the deal by supporting foreign students at State universities.

A foreign student has to pay only 10-12 per cent of the net cost of education, which amounts to about 12,000 dollars. In all, the annual average expenses for the tuition, accommodation, insurance and food in Russia make up about 3,500 to 4,500 dollars.

Upon successful graduation from a Russian university, many degrees enable students to continue education or take up a job in another European country.
