“..it’s not immediately clear why the university (of Cincinnati) should care about recruiting more international students, sending more students abroad or signing deals with overseas companies,” writes Cincinnati

Behind it all is UC’s vice provost for international affairs, former IDP US Director, Mitch Leventhal..

…hired seven months ago by UC President Nancy Zimpher to build the international strategy, puts it in terms business people understand.

“Every company, every university needs to differentiate itself in the marketplace,” Leventhal says. “This is my attempt to begin to create our value proposition, so we rise above the noise. Why should they pay more attention to the University of Cincinnati?”
