In December last year, Glyn Davis, Melbourne’s VC commented in a Campus Review article, that ‘Australia’s public universities are now financially dependent on international students … Even a modest downturn in then international market and public universities would be in crisis all over Australia’. Today we are all experiencing not just a downturn in international student numbers, but a whole termination of a paradigm of sustainability of the education sector. Glyn Davis’ assertions were right.
